1. Introduction

Kinora ("we", "us", "our") is committed to handling the personal information of everyone who interacts with us — whether through our website, through booking a session, or through participating in the Threads Community — with care and transparency.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to all Kinora services, including the Weaving Conversations Workshop, the Family Records Weave-Together Session, and the Threads Community Membership.

Our principal place of business is: 47 Soi Ngamwongwan 23, Mueang, Nonthaburi 11000, Thailand.

Questions about this policy may be directed to [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the personal information necessary to provide our educational and administrative services. This typically includes:

  • Your name and contact details (email address and, optionally, phone number) when you submit our enquiry form or register for a session.
  • Payment information, processed through a third-party payment provider. We do not store payment card details.
  • Participation feedback, submitted voluntarily after sessions via written feedback forms.
  • Technical data collected automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via analytics cookies (where you have consented).

We do not collect sensitive personal data about family matters, relationships, or personal circumstances. If such information is shared voluntarily in the course of a session, it remains subject to our group confidentiality norms and is not recorded or stored by Kinora.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and confirm session bookings.
  • Administer your membership and provide access to member resources.
  • Send session reminders and updates relevant to your booking (transactional communications only).
  • Improve our workshop content using anonymised, aggregated feedback data.
  • Comply with applicable Thai law and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.

The legal basis for processing enquiry and booking data is the performance of a contract (or pre-contractual steps). For analytics data, the legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via our Cookie Policy page.

4. Data Retention

We retain contact and booking records for up to two years from the date of your last interaction with us. Anonymised feedback data used for content development may be retained for longer.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

5. Data Protection Measures

We store personal data on secure servers with access restricted to Kinora staff who need it to perform their role. Data transmitted via our website contact form is encrypted in transit using TLS.

In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where required by applicable law.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to support site functionality and, with your consent, to collect analytics data. Full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them are set out in our Cookie Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics (where you consent to analytics cookies).
  • Payment processor — for secure processing of session booking payments.
  • Email service provider — for sending booking confirmations and session updates.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies. Kinora does not control how third parties process data transferred to them.

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Thai personal data protection law (PDPA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to processing of your data for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Kinora's sessions are designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
